Adding a dog as a new member to the family is an exciting time and requires a great deal of consideration, research and planning. If you have decided on KHALEE, the next step is to complete our EXPRESSION OF INTEREST form, in which we request that provide your details and information about yourself, your family and home and the lifestyle you can offer a KHALEE. Once you have done this, please follow up with a telephone call with Tearmannair Kennels on 0456 822 091 to discuss your EOI.
KHALEE comes with ANKC Certified Pedigree papers. All ANKC breeders must abide the Code of Ethics outlined on the ANKC and the Dogs NSW, Code of Ethics website. Therefore, Tèarmannair as a member is bound by this code of ethics and are not permitted to sell puppies without papers under any exception, so please do not ask. For more information click here.
KHALEE is microchipped and registered with the NSW Companion Animals Register.
Tèarmannair uses the new smaller and less invasive “Mini microchip”. The Mini microchip is 40% smaller than the standard 12mm x 2.12mm microchip. The 8.5mm x 1.4mm RFID transponders are less invasive, and due to size and weight, less likely to migrate.
Should KHALEE stray or become lost, vets, animal shelters and local councils can scan their microchip and contact you. Therefore, it is extremely important to keep your contact details with the NSW Companion Animals Register up to date.
KHALEE will cost AU$1,500 NEG on the Limited Register which means they are not eligible for breeding or conformation showing. They able participate in all canine sports such as obedience and agility.
Main Register puppies are sold only to Registered Breeders for the purpose of show/breeding. These puppies are selected for their exceptional temperament, conformation and bloodlines and are priced accordingly. Please contact us for specific litter pricing.
When Tèarmannair Kennels agrees to part with one of our puppies, it is in the understanding that it will be to a “forever home“. Having said that, if for ANY reason your circumstances change and you can no longer keep KHALEE we will endeavour to take KHALEE back or assist you where possible to find the the perfect home for them.
At Tèarmannair Kennels we strive for excellence therefore each mating is the culmination of research and consideration in regards to improving ours lines. When we breed our animals consideration is taken in how we can improve form, function and temperament of our breeding lines. Our breeding stock are all DNA screened for known issues within the breed, guaranteeing that we never produce pups that are “affected“. We keep the best prospect of the litter to enrich our lines with the remainder of the puppies offered as pets to suitable homes.

The most common intestinal worms that affect dogs in Australia are roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm. Loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea and in severe cases even death are just some of the symptoms a dog can experience from a worm infestation.
Common worms are controllable with a routine worming treatment for puppies. Tèarmannair puppies are wormed every two weeks until twelve weeks of age. You will need to continue worming your puppy monthly until six months of age. After six months all dogs need to be wormed every three months for effective protection.
A dog affected by Heartworm will have an infestation of long thin worms (up to 30cm in length) lodged in the heart and vessels that feed on surrounding blood. Immature stages of heartworm are spread by mosquitoes when they bite dogs. Prevention is possible through a monthly or annual preparation. Puppies should be started on prevention from 12 weeks of age – talk with your vet for the best prevention treatment for your puppy. Click here for more information.
Most vets will tell you that the optimum time for desexing is five to six months of age, when the animal is approaching sexual maturity but before they come on heat. We do not support this recommendation.
Whilst desexing reduces the number of unwanted puppies and in females significantly reduces the risk of uterine infections and mammary cancer and in males, cancer of the prostate gland we recommend that you research for yourself to enable you to make an informed decision.
“Behavioural problems in male dogs may be affected by how early in their life they are desexed, with the study raising questions about whether there should be routine desexing of male dogs at all, according to a new study by University of Sydney experts. “
All Tèarmannair puppies are guaranteed NOT AFFECTED by parentage and come with copies of their parents DNA profiles. Further information on Degenerative Myelopathy can be found here.
